The answers below give general guidance. Each situation is still assessed individually during the first conversation.
What kind of software do you build?
Business applications, automation tools, admin interfaces, integrations between existing systems, and backup monitoring tools. All of these areas are presented on the Services page.
Do you only work in Paris?
The practice is based in Paris. Projects can be carried out in person in Paris or fully remotely, depending on the nature of the work and the client's preferences.
Can you take over an existing project?
It depends on the language used, the architecture in place and the documentation available. Taking over a project always starts with a review of the existing code and environment, to assess feasibility and the time required.
Is the source code provided?
The terms for delivery, licensing and any transfer of the source code are defined in the quote and the contract, and can vary depending on the nature of the project.
How is the price calculated?
The price depends on the functional scope, the integrations required, the technical constraints, the timeline and the level of support needed. Every engagement is covered by a quote. See the Pricing page for an order of magnitude.
How long does a project take?
Duration varies a lot depending on scope: from a few days for a simple automation script, to several weeks or months for a full application. An estimate is provided in the quote.
Do you provide hosting?
SOLODOVNIKOVA.AGENCY is not a hosting provider. The choice of hosting (with the client, with a third-party provider, etc.) is discussed during project scoping.
Do you host backups?
No. Backups stay on the infrastructure chosen by the client (NAS, local server, S3-compatible storage owned by the client, etc.). SOLODOVNIKOVA.AGENCY designs the tools used to schedule, monitor and check them.
Can you connect to a NAS?
Yes, subject to technical compatibility. Connecting to an existing NAS is assessed during project scoping.
Can you integrate S3 storage?
Yes, when the client already has S3-compatible storage. SOLODOVNIKOVA.AGENCY does not itself provide S3 storage.
Do you guarantee data restoration?
No. The tools developed aim to make restore checks easier and improve visibility on backup status, but no guarantee of restoration can be given: results depend on the client's configuration and infrastructure.
Do you offer maintenance?
Yes, as a separate offer, unless explicitly included in the initial proposal. See the Pricing page.
Do you work with sensitive data?
Projects involving sensitive, regulated data, or specific constraints must be assessed before acceptance. SOLODOVNIKOVA.AGENCY favours architectures that limit data collection and keep data within the environment chosen by the client.
Can I start with a prototype?
Yes. Many projects start with a prototype or a simple automation, which helps validate the approach before a fuller build. See the Pricing page.
How does the first conversation work?
The first conversation is a chance to describe your current situation, your existing tools and what you're trying to achieve. It carries no commitment: it's used to decide whether a next step (scoping, quote) makes sense.
