How I work

Working process

Every project follows the same broad steps, adapted to its size. A small automation script doesn't need the same formality as a full business application, but the logic stays the same.

  1. 1
    First conversation
Overview of the situation and goals.
  2. 2
    Understanding the need
Analysis of the current process and existing tools.
  3. 3
    Functional scope
Precise definition of what will be built.
  4. 4
    Proposal and quote
Description of scope, timeline and cost.
  5. 5
    Prototype
A first simplified version, for validation.
  6. 6
    Development
    Building the full version.
  7. 7
    Testing
Checking how it works with the client.
  8. 8
    Delivery
Handover of the software and its documentation.
  9. 9
    Optional maintenance
    Follow-up after delivery, if wanted.

Important points

  • Work begins after the quote has been accepted.
  • Timelines depend on the volume and complexity of the project.
  • Any change of scope compared with the initial quote is documented and may require an addendum.
  • A project can be split into several stages rather than delivered all at once.
  • The client takes part in review phases, particularly during testing.
  • Production deployment only happens after explicit client agreement.
  • Support after going live is a separate offer, unless explicitly included in the initial proposal.
