How I work
Working process
Every project follows the same broad steps, adapted to its size. A small automation script doesn't need the same formality as a full business application, but the logic stays the same.
- 1
First conversation
Overview of the situation and goals. - 2
Understanding the need
Analysis of the current process and existing tools. - 3
Functional scope
Precise definition of what will be built. - 4
Proposal and quote
Description of scope, timeline and cost. - 5
Prototype
A first simplified version, for validation. - 6
Development
Building the full version. - 7
Testing
Checking how it works with the client. - 8
Delivery
Handover of the software and its documentation. - 9
Optional maintenance
Follow-up after delivery, if wanted.
Important points
- Work begins after the quote has been accepted.
- Timelines depend on the volume and complexity of the project.
- Any change of scope compared with the initial quote is documented and may require an addendum.
- A project can be split into several stages rather than delivered all at once.
- The client takes part in review phases, particularly during testing.
- Production deployment only happens after explicit client agreement.
- Support after going live is a separate offer, unless explicitly included in the initial proposal.
